I envision gaining insight into the medical world and the fast-pace environment through which it exists. By mentoring in the hospital, I hope to become sure that working in a hospital setting is what I want to do with my life. I plan to ask many questions and shadow as many people and experiences as I can. I want to venture out and make connections with as many people as possible so that when the time comes, I will have opportunities lined up for my future. This experience is preparing me for the future by allowing me to get hospital hours. It will also allow me to watch surgery on occasion (hopefully), which will let me know whether I am able to handle the sight of it.
